ABOUT US
Bad Daisy Landscaping is a worker-owned business serving the Twin Cities Metro.
Our vision for Bad Daisy Landscaping is to provide a sustainable, future-forward approach to landscaping. We believe in transforming the traditional notions of garden and lawn, creating spaces that are not only beautiful but also sustainable and harmonious with the environment.
Bad Daisy landscapes emphasize perennials, shrubs, and trees that are hardy, drought tolerant, and native to our region. Our plantings increase urban biodiversity, attract pollinators, and conserve water, often utilizing edible or medicinal plants, too.
We are run by a small team of knowledgeable, passionate, multi-talented artists, and we are proud to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community.
Our Vision
Our vision is to create and support natural spaces in Minnesota that feature robust, pollinator friendly, and drought tolerant plants requiring fewer resources and contributing to regenerative ecosystems. Every year across the country, lawns consume nearly 3 trillion gallons of water, 200 million gallons of gas (for all that mowing), and 70 million pounds of pesticides. As the climate in Minnesota changes, one key way to contribute to the ecology of the area is by replacing resource guzzling lawns with natural spaces that boast enhanced resilience, biodiversity and visual complexity. We believe that gardens can be beautiful, sustainable and ecologically beneficial all at the same time.
Our Mission
Bad Daisy Landscaping is proud to be a worker-owned business. We support the rights of all workers to claim the financial value of their labor as their own and the power to impact their workplace. We believe a living wage is a human right.
